To ensure you have the correct qualifications stipulated by the University to commence the Level 7 module, once your application is received, a member of the education team will contact you within 5 working days.

The aims of this module are to enable students to acquire knowledge and skills in the detection, diagnosis and management of atrial fibrillation and stroke and critically appraise the evidence and issues surrounding current practice.

This module provides students with the opportunity to identify and critically appraise the literature surrounding key aspects of the care pathway in the diagnosis and management of atrial fibrillation and stoke with a focus on strategies for risk factor reduction and stroke prevention.

The purpose of this module is to enable health care practitioners to develop their critical appraisal of the evidence supporting current management of patients with atrial fibrillation and stroke and be able to plan evidence based care providing solutions to some of the challenges in the minimisation of the impact of these conditions on the individuals, their relatives and the community at large.
